NEI Cookie & Advertising Policy

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies NEI uses on the website nei.io and on the NEI platform, and where NEI stands on advertising. The short version: almost none, and none respectively. This policy is subject to change as described in Section 5.

1. Cookies on nei.io (the website)

The website nei.io sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking, or advertising technologies of any kind. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

2. Cookies on the platform

The NEI platform sets only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in (valid up to 30 days) and, where applicable, security-related cookies needed to operate the service. These are exempt from consent requirements because the service cannot function without them. The platform sets no analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

3. Advertising

NEI does not run advertising, does not use advertising networks, does not profile you for advertising, and does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (and has not done so in the preceding 12 months - see the NEI Privacy Policy, California section). Deal alerts and service communications you receive are part of the service itself, as described in the NEI Privacy Policy.

4. Sites operated by others

Links from our sites (for example to LinkedIn or to referenced external resources) lead to sites with their own cookie and advertising practices, which this policy does not cover.

5. Changes to this policy

If NEI ever introduces cookies or technologies beyond the strictly necessary ones described here, this policy will be updated and versioned first, and consent will be requested where the law requires it. Material changes are announced on the platform.
