Frequently Asked Questions
What are Secondaries?
In private markets, secondaries are the buying and selling of existing stakes in private companies or funds - shares, options, warrants or fund interests - rather than new shares issued by the company. They give early shareholders and investors liquidity before an IPO or exit, and give new buyers access to companies they otherwise couldn't reach.
